Hi All,

With the impending return of Guilliman, what will happen to Mr Calgar himself? Death? Or will the Lord of Macragge he be Guillimans right hand man?

Thoughts?

He's going to be pissed that he has to run around without his trademark pimp slap fists.

He can still pimp slap, it'll just have to be single handed.

Guilliman isn't a tyrant. I think he'll just delegate.

He's going to walk around with only one oversized fist like a weirdo...

Wait a minute...

Considering how much larger the Primarchs are and what Guilliman is wielding, I highly doubt he'd try and squeeze 3 or less fingers into those undersized gauntlets of Ultramar that lil' Calgar totes around these days.

He has a sword and a fist anyways and he's been on a holiday these past 10,000 odd years he surely had stuff with him in all that time.

But seriously, I'm amazed by just how little GP has written. On a scale of 1 to Gorechild's Protege, this is nothing. It's like a Heavy Incinerator with which you've just rolled a 1 to wound.

I don't think those sconces are part of the armour wink.gif

Meanwhile, fluff I've read says the armour was provided to Guilliman by Cawl. So I guess the question is if that fist was part of the armour or not. Regardless, I still doubt it's one of the paired gauntlets Calgar uses.

Can't wait for the book though. Exciting times smile.gif

It's the same one he's got on his Heresy model isn't it?

Gulliman won the Gauntlets. And gave them to Calgar.

http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Gauntlets_of_Ultramar

The Gauntlets of Ultramar are two mighty Power Fists with incorporated Bolters that were reclaimed from a fallen Chaos champion, slain during the Gamalia Reclusiam Massacre by the Primarch of the Ultramarines, Roboute Guilliman himself. No one has been able to penetrate the thick adamantine shell of the fists to study the workings inside. While not in use, the Gauntlets are stored within a crystal case at the Fortress of Hera, inside the Temple of Correction's Shrine of the Great Primarch. In combat, the Gauntlets are worn exclusively by Marneus Calgar, the Chapter Master.

The heresy model doesn't have the underslung gun, looking at it.

I think he's referring to the armour itself. It looks sort of similar but it's got a lot more accenting on it.
The fluff seems to be that Cawl modified it to make it a life support suit.

Fair enough. With some careful work, you could file / dremel away the extra ostentation if you really wanted.

I guess it's going to link into St Celestine and her divine nature. It'll be interesting to see how he deals with someone like her and the questions of the Emperors divinity.

No I was talking about the gun - I haven't seen the Heresy model personally but I thought you could make out a bit of an under slung weapon on the fist. Could be completely wrong though.

Pyschic manifestation vs divinity. I reckon he'd figure it out. The fluff in Cadia Falls, implies she was created by the Emperor at some point and is one of a kind.

So she's a manifestation of his psychic might, which is then interpreted as divinity?

I am enjoying the series. It's filling in some holes whilst still leaving plenty of mysteries.

It's unclear. Reading the book, it felt more that she is a creation, so separate from the Emperor himself. But she is one of a kind, as the Heresy stopped Him from making more.

If I was going to guess, I'd say she was the prototype for a defence against warp entities for humanity once they started using the webway. Kind of like an Imperial warp entity as opposed to a chaos one.
